It’s getting down to the wire for my latest Christian historical romance, Book 3 in my Love in Lansing series, so now my days are filled with all the details.
The ebook cover is nearly finished, it just needs a little tweaking, but I can’t do the paperback cover until the blurb is written and the interior is formatted, so even though I am really anxious to play some more in Photoshop, today will be all about the minutiae necessary to move forward with the book’s interior.
Here’s what today’s to-do list looks like…
- Write blurb
- Write dedication
- Name chapters (yes…I still haven’t done this yet)
- Format book interior
Now, if you ever ask an author about blurb writing, you most likely will not get an excited response. Book blurbs are hard! Some say they are more difficult than writing the actual novel. So, as you can imagine after following me and knowing how difficult it was to get this novel across the finish line, I was not excited about today’s to-do list. But God is so good, because the blurb for Book 3 seemed to write itself today!
It’s still a rough draft and will need some editing, so I’m not ready to share the complete blurb yet, but I thought you might like a little preview…
A calling from God. A childhood love. A woman who must choose between the two.
*Squeals excitedly!
Okay, time to get back to work! This to-do list won’t finish itself! I can’t wait to be able to share more with you! Love you all!
